Taradale is a dynamic and diverse residential neighborhood located in the northeastern quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. Its establishment in the mid-1980s marked the beginning of a community that would grow to be a vibrant and integral part of Calgary’s suburban landscape.

The area spans 2.4 km² (0.9 sq mi) and sits at an elevation of 1,100 meters (3,600 feet), offering its residents a spacious and elevated suburban experience.
Population and Demographics
According to the City of Calgary’s 2012 municipal census, Taradale had seen a growth spurt, reaching a population of 16,841, which was a 4.5% increase from the previous year. The community is noted for its multiculturalism, with a significant South Asian population, including individuals of Indian and Pakistani descent, a smaller Afghan community, and a presence of Filipino residents. Taradale’s housing is predominantly composed of single-family detached homes.
