Edgemont is strategically bounded by John Laurie Boulevard to the south, Sarcee Trail to the west, Country Hills Boulevard to the north, and Shaganappi Trail to the east. It spans an area of 6 km² (2 sq mi) and houses a population of 15,986 residents, as of the 2015 census. The neighborhood is characterized by its varied elevation, reaching up to 1,245 m (4,085 ft) at its highest point, which contributes to its panoramic views.

History and Development

The community’s development commenced in 1978 and has since evolved into a fully-established neighborhood. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 4 councillor.
