Geographic Location
The neighbourhood is strategically bounded to the north by Anderson Road and Deerfoot Trail, providing easy access for commuters. To the east, residents enjoy the scenic views and recreational opportunities offered by the Bow River. The southern boundary is shared with Queensland, another established community, while Bow Bottom Trail lies to the west.
Historical Background
The land that makes up Diamond Cove was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1961, setting the stage for future development. While the neighbouring community of Queensland was established in 1973, Diamond Cove itself did not commence construction until 1989, receiving official recognition in 1991. This establishment as an estate community allowed for a more controlled and upscale development, resulting in a secluded and desirable neighbourhood. Unique to Diamond Cove is its dedicated entrance, accessible via Bow Bottom Trail, approximately 1.5 km north of Canyon Meadows Drive.
